Abstract

Individual behavior can be influenced by unmet needs, that when this needs fulfilled individuals will try to fulfill higher needs. Giving awards like remuneration at Andalas University is one of the ways. The Perception of Remuneration can have a contribution to Work Motivation civil servant lecturers to fulfill the needs. This study aimed to investigate the influence Perception of Remuneration toward Work Motivation civil servant lecturers at Andalas University. The method used in this study is quantitative in the form of a simple linear regression analysis with 97 subjects. Data were collected with purposive sampling using the Perception of Remuneration Scale and Work Motivation Scale. The reliability of each scale Perception of Remuneration is 0.951 and Work Motivation 0.845. The result of the study showed sig 0.000 and coefficient R-square (R^2) 0.138 which means the Perception of Remuneration predicts Work Motivation significantly. This result means that the role of Perception of Remuneration is 13.8 % and the other is impacted by other variables that not studied in this research.
