Abstract
This thesis analyzes Agatha Christie's work entitled Death on the Nile and uses psychoanalysis approach that focuses on the problems experienced by the main character named Jacqueline. The analysis aims to find the types of Jacqueline’s frustration and to find the unconscious motives that make Jacqueline’s frustration. The writer uses the theory of psychoanalysis by Sigmund Freud and the theory of frustration by Floyd L. Ruch. The results show that the types of frustration that experienced by Jacqueline are personal frustration and conflict frustration, then Jacqueline's frustration was influenced by her unconscious motives for having a father figure and the desire to be a hero.
