Abstract

Teamwork performance is an activity managed and performed by a group of individuals Teamwork performance is defined as an activity that is managed and carried out by a group of individuals in an organization to achieve a common goal. In the context of a multicultural company such as PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC), team performance plays an important role in improving work effectiveness and efficiency. The objective of this study is to provide a comprehensive description of teamwork performance among Indonesian employees at PT KCIC. The methodological approach employed is of a quantitative nature, characterized by a descriptive design. The participants in this study comprised 285 employees who were selected through the utilization of a proportionate random sampling technique. The data were collected through the Multi-Cultural Team Performance (MCTP) scale, which was adapted from Sucher & Cheung (2015). The teamwork performance of the subjects was analyzed using the IBM SPSS 25 application. The results indicated that the level of teamwork performance of Indonesian employees at PT KCIC was in the high category, with 88.42% of respondents demonstrating commendable performance. The "Team Foundation" dimension demonstrated the highest level of dominance, with an average score of 5.98. This was followed by the "Team Climate" dimension, which received an average score of 5.80, and the "Team Skills" dimension, which received an average score of 5.73. The findings indicate that a clear sense of purpose and delineated roles within the team are significantly associated with the effectiveness of cooperation in a multicultural environment. This research offers significant insights for management, particularly in the context of enhancing team performance and fostering effective collaboration among employees from diverse cultural backgrounds.
