Abstract

The government is encouraging the strengthening of Super Priority Tourism Areas, so that they need to be supported by infrastructure development and its supports, including electricity infrastructure by PT PLN (Persero). However, in 2020 the Covid-19 pandemic had a major impact on the tourism sector, the lack of tourists was accompanied by a policy of limiting community activities. The same thing also had an impact on sales at the PLN ULP Parapat where in 2020 it was recorded at 3% (yoy), a decrease compared to the previous period which grew at 3.5% (yoy). One of the activities to increase sales is through connecting new installations and changing power for both Key Account and Retail Account customers. Sales in 2021 were recorded to grow by 8.8% (yoy), an increase compared to the previous period which grew by 3.4% (yoy). In terms of income, it also experienced a sharp increase from -10% (yoy) to 15% (yoy) in 2021.
