Abstract
THE INFLUENCE OF PSYCHOLOGICAL EMPOWERMENT ON COMMITMENT TO CHANGE IN THE EMPLOYEES OF BANK INDONESIA BENGKULU REPRESENTATIVE Dessi Tri Widiarti1) Fitria Rahmi2) Rindang Ayu2) 1)Psychology student, Medical Faculty, Andalas University 2)Lecturer at Psychology Departement, Medical Faculty, Andalas University ABSTRACT Organizational change is very common and will always happen in the world of work. Commitment to change becomes an important factor to determine the success of organizational change. This research was conducted to see the effect of psychological empowerment to commitment to change. This study uses a quantitative approach. The measuring tool used in this research is the measurement tool Commitment to Change Inventory (CCI) developed by Herscovitch and Meyer (2002) and Psychological Empowerment Questionnaire (PEQ) measurements developed by Spreitzer (1995). Sampling methode using saturated samples, which is as many as 65 employees of Bank Indonesia of Bengkulu Representative. The results showed that psychological empowerment has a positive and significant impact on the commitment to changes in the employees of Bank Indonesia Bengkulu Representative. Komitmen perubahan menjadi faktor penting untuk menentukan keberhasilan perubahan organisasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat pengaruh psychological empowerment terhadap komitmen perubahan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu alat ukur Commitment to Change Inventory (CCI) yang dikembangkan oleh Herscovitch dan Meyer (2002) dan alat ukur Psychological Empowerment Questionnaire (PEQ) yang dikembangkan oleh Spreitzer (1995). Penarikan sampel menggunakan sampel jenuh, yaitu sebanyak 65 orang pegawai Bank Indonesia Perwakilan Bengkulu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa psychological empowerment memiliki pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan terhadap komitmen perubahan pada pegawai Bank Indonesia Perwakilan Bengkulu.
