Abstract
Kata Kunci: Mikrosimulasi, Vissim, Kinerja Simpang ABSTRACT Jambi City is the capital of Jambi Province with an area of around 205.4 km² which is divided into 11 sub-districts and 68 sub-districts. The Batanghari 1 Bridge is a connecting bridge on the East Sumatra Highway, where the East Sumatra Highway passes through the Provinces of Lampung, South Sumatra, Jambi, Riau, North Sumatra to Aceh. The Batanghari 1 Bridge is also a link between Jambi City and Muaro Jambi Regency, at this time the density level can be said to be very high at the Batanghari 1 bridge junction during rush hours, vehicles passing by are very dense, so it often causes traffic jams. Perencanaan dan Pengawasan Jalan Nasional (P2JN) and Planning Consultants have carried out a Detailed Engineering Design (DED) Planning for the Duplication of the Batanghari 1 Bridge in 2021 to solve the congestion problem that occurs at the Batanghari intersection. In the Duplication DED of the Batanghari 1 Bridge, which was originally an intersection turned into an intersection and a U-turn. However, the highest volume of vehicles during rush hour is Jalan KH.A. Majid which is required to do a U-turn to cross the Batanghari Bridge. From these problems the authors are interested in conducting traffic microsimulation at the Batanghari intersection. This research used PTV Vissim software to conduct microsimulation under the Existing Condition, Detailed Engineering Design (DED), and an Alternative scenario that involved adding a Flyover for KH.A. Majid Road towards Batanghari Bridge. Microsimulation of traffic was also conducted for the condition expected in the next 20 years. The analysis method used was microsimulation using Vissim software, which involved calibration, trial and error validation of the intersection model, considering driver behavior, and conducting GEH tests on traffic volume. Based on the simulation results for the Proposed Model, a reduction of 64.9% in queues, a 10.07% decrease in delays, and a 17.4% increase in travel time compared to the Existing Model were obtained. For the Alternative Model, a reduction of 99.27% in queues, an 88.63% decrease in delays, and a 23.52% decrease in travel time from the Existing Model were obtained. For the condition expected in the next 20 years, a reduction of 36.11% in queues, a 21.74% decrease in delays, and a 12.21% decrease in travel time from the Existing Model were obtained. For the Alternative Model, a reduction of 77.40% in queues, an 85.78% decrease in delays, and a 61.08% decrease in travel time from the Existing Model were obtained. Based on the conducted microsimulation, it can be concluded that the Proposed Model of geometric changes can reduce Queue Length and Vehicle Delay but results in increased Travel Time. On the other hand, the Alternative Model can reduce Queue Length, delays, and Travel Time better than the Proposed Model of geometric changes. Therefore, the author recommends the Alternative Model because it has better intersection performance. Keywords: Microsimulation, Vissim, intersection performance
