Abstract
Potential psychological disorders such as anxiety, stress, and depression faced by West Sumatra SAR rescue personnel during search and rescue operations require them to be resilient. The purpose of this study is to overview West Sumatra SAR rescue personnel’s resilience. This study included 66 West Sumatra SAR rescue personnel as respondents. The method is descriptive quantitative method. The sampling technique is total population sampling. The data collection used in this study is an adaptation of the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC). Reliability on the resilience scale is .862. The results showed that the West Sumatra SAR rescue team had a high level of resilience, which means that SAR personnel are able to make appropriate responses when in stressful and difficult situations, also to adapt in various condition and solutive to the problems.
