Abstract
THE INFLUENCE OF EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE AND ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT ON NURSES’ PERFORMANCE WITH ORGANIZATIONAL CITIZENSHIP BEHAVIOR AS A MEDIATING VARIABLE: A STUDY AT RSUD DR. RASIDIN PADANG 1Dinda Diah Pasya, 2Hendra Lukito, 3 Harif Amali Rivai Magister Manajemen, Fakultas Ekonomi & Bisnis, Universitas Andalas Email: dindadiahpasya2001@gmail.com Abstract The objective of this research is to examine the influence of Emotional Intelligence and Organizational Commitment on Employee Performance, with Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) acting as a mediating variable, among nurses at RSUD dr. Rasidin, Padang. This study applies a quantitative research design with a survey method. Data were collected from 160 respondents through questionnaires and analyzed using Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS software. The empirical results indicate that Emotional Intelligence has a positive and significant effect on both OCB and Employee Performance. Similarly, Organizational Commitment demonstrates a positive and significant impact on OCB as well as Employee Performance. Furthermore, OCB shows a positive and significant contribution to Employee Performance and mediates the relationship between Emotional Intelligence, Organizational Commitment, and Employee Performance. These findings highlight the strategic role of OCB in strengthening the effect of Emotional Intelligence and Organizational Commitment on performance outcomes. The study contributes both theoretically and practically by emphasizing the importance of emotional and organizational factors in enhancing extra-role behavior, which ultimately improves employee performance in the healthcare sector. Rasidin Kota Padang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada 160 responden, kemudian dianalisis dengan teknik Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) menggunakan software SmartPLS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Emotional Intelligence berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap OCB maupun Kinerja Perawat. Demikian pula, Komitmen Organisasi terbukti berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap OCB serta Kinerja Perawat. Selanjutnya, OCB juga berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Kinerja Perawat serta memediasi hubungan antara Kecerdasan Emosional, Komitmen Organisasi, dan Kinerja Pegawai. Temuan ini menegaskan peran strategis OCB dalam memperkuat pengaruh Emotional Intelligence dan Komitmen Organisasi terhadap peningkatan kinerja. Secara teoritis maupun praktis, penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi dengan menekankan pentingnya faktor emosional dan komitmen organisasi dalam mendorong perilaku Organizational Citizenship Behavior, yang pada akhirnya meningkatkan kinerja perawat di sektor pelayanan kesehatan.
