Abstract

In the recent year, there were many case about sexual violence. Sexual offender were not only adult but also in a few case adolescent too. At the age of adolescent, the people often characterized by an identity crisis, which causes a person vulnerable to displaying behavior out of control. There were many factors that caused emerge a behavior. This study aims to see mothering in adolescent sexual offenders. This research used qualitative method with data collection techniques from interviews. The participants in this research were three people who were mothers of adolescent sexual offender. This research was conducted in the West Sumatera region. The results showed that participants of this study had 1) in general, mothers do not understand the environment of children, 2) mothers sets certain rules for children, but children often violate the rules, 3)mothers keep their children eating on time without regard to children’s nutrition, 4) mother and child communication that does not work well. In addition, it was found that there were other factor that influenced the mothering, namely the condition of the mother because of her busy.
