Abstract

ABSTRAK Dalam skripsi ini dibahas tentang jenis-jenis implikatur percakapan yang terdapat dalam sebuah film yang berjudul Beauty and the Beast. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bentuk dan jenis dari implikatur percakapan tersebut. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode observasi dan teknik catat. Data kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan teori implikatur percakapan oleh Grice (1975) dan didukung juga dengan teori implikatur percakapan oleh Levinson (1983). Sedangkan makna tersirat dari masing-masing tipe conversational implicature tersebut ditentukan berdasarkan konteks situasinya. Setelah pengumpulan data, penulis menemukan 25 conversation dalam film berjudul Beauty and the Beast dengan rincian: 17 implikatur percakapan umum dan 8 implikatur percakapan khusus. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut menunjukkan bahwa jenis-jenis implikatur percakapan yang paling sering muncul pada film berjudul Beauty and the Beast adalah implikatur percakapan umum karena dalam suatu kelompok sosial tertentu terdapat berbagai faktor yang memungkinkan adanya suatu implikatur dalam proses komunikasi yang terjadi. Kata kunci : Implikatur Percakapan, Beauty and the Beast, Movie. =========================================================== ABSTRACT This thesis analyzed the types of conversational implicature found in the movie entitled Beauty and the Beast. The purpose of this study is to determine the form and types of conversational implicature. Data collection was done by using the observational method and note-taking technique. The data were analyzed by using the conversational implicature theory by Grice (1975) and supported with conversational implicature theory by Levinson (1983). The implied meaning of each type of conversational implicature is determined based on the context of the situation. After collecting the data, the writer found that 25 conversations in the movie with entitled Beauty and the Beast with details: 17 Generalized conversational implicatures and 8 Particularized conversational implicatures. Based on the results of the study showed that the kinds of conversational implicatures that most often appear in the movie with entitled Beauty and the Beast is Generalized conversational implicature because in a certain social group, there are some factors that allow the existence of an implicature in the communication process.
