Abstract

A study about the dose and drug interaction of cardiovascular drugs on patient of STEMI (ST Elevation Myocardial Infarction) has been carried out. The study was conducted retrospectively from medical records of STEMI inpatient and receiving any cardiovascular drugs during 2014. The analysis was performed by comparing the data with standar literatures. A number of 60 out of 260 medical records met the inclusion criteria, where 98,3 % were male patient. The patient were distributed to several range of ages: 45-55 years old (38.33%); 56-65 years old (36.67 %), and 36-45 years old (13.3 %). Based on the body weight, 38.33 % were overweight patients; 33.3 % were patient with normal body weight; and 21.67 % were obese. The study showed that a total of 19 of cardiovascular drugs were used by the patient, where aspirin and clopidogrel were the most used. This study found 2 cases of inappropriate dose of drug as compared with standard literatures. A number of 48 cases found to have potential drug interaction. In this study, drug interaction between aspirin and bisoprolol was the most be found (28.4 %). The use of cardiovascular drugs in STEMI patients should consider the appropriateness of doses and avoid drug-drug interaction undesirable.
