Abstract

Global value chains has significant impact toward international trade. Global trade nowadays made the commodity market wide open. This research looked at the structure governance of Vietnam in controlling the global value chains of commodity coffee. International coffee industry covers many countries, many actors with a variety of different rules. Coffee products are also marketed in a simple way. Suitable natural conditions, development of infrastructure and the legal framework by the Vietnamese government resulted has risen rapidly in the development of production and trade of coffee in the coffee global market. Participation of Vietnam as market in GVCs coffee is regulates coffee products trades. Vietnam in the governance structure is fairly successful, judging from the significance increasing of Vietnamese coffee exports from year to year. Government as a market at time need to be modular or even suppliers so that growing trade relations can be more successful. Keywords: Coffee, Coffee Global trade, Global Value Chains, Vietnam.
