Abstract

The object in this study is novel The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe wrote by C.S. Lewis focused on analyzing Lucy Pevensie’s characterization development. Researcher uses New Criticism theory and character approach method. The research used qualitative methods then the results of the research presented by using descriptive methods. The results of analysis describe that Lucy is a young girl with kindhearted, trustful, coward and high curiosity characterization. The conflict in Narnia between Evil and Good influences her characterization development. During her journey, she found out that she is a Daughter of Eve. Together with her siblings and Aslan they will defeat the White Witch. Lucy learns how to be brave to face her own fear and take responsibility for her actions, fulfil her duty and bring piece for Narnia.
