Abstract
Hypertension is determinant factor for stroke and other cardiovascular disease. Development of hypertension greatly influenced by many factors. They are body mass index, neck circumference, waist circumference and waist-hip ratio. This study aims to see the description of nutritional status with anthropometric measure (body mass index, neck circumference, waist circumference and waist-hip ratio) of hypertension patients based on the degree of them hypertension. This is description study conducted in 70 respondents. Sampling method is consecutive sampling. Result of this study showed that the most of respondents have the value of nutritional status at risk. However, the average of nutritional status is not always increased corresponding with the increase in the degree of hypertension. This study proves there is still a lot of patients with hypertension in kidney/hypertension clinic RSUP Dr. M. Djamil Padang which has overview of the the nutritional status at risk, views of BMI, neck circumference, waist circumference and waist-hip ratio.
