Abstract

The Community Health Center (CHC) functions to organize the first level Public Health Efforts (PHE) and Individual Health Efforts (IHE) by prioritizing promotive and preventive efforts, to achieve high levels of public health around the working area. One way is to improve the quality and quality of Human Resources for Health (HRH) in order to ensure the implementation of health development. The Pauh Community Health Center currently has a shortage of 9 members for functional positions of employees. Thus, this study was conducted with the aim of determining the number of health workers who had to be allocated based on the workload on the Maternal and Child Health (MCH) poly in Pauh Health Center. Calculation of the number of health needs using the Workload Indicator of Staffing Needs (WISN) method is done with primary data sources obtained from direct observations and interviews with midwives who work on MCH Poly and secondary data obtained indirectly such as Pauh Public Health Service data. The initial step of this research is the measurement of work time carried out using work sampling and then the percentage of productive will be calculated to find out how much time is used by each health worker to carry out productive activities. Furthermore, calculating the need for health workers carried out by steps such as determining priority health worker catagories and health facility ypes, estimating available work time, setting workload standards, calculating allowance factors, and determining staff requirements. The results obtained from this study were the percentage of productive midwives by 77.96% and the value of the calculation of the needs of midwives with the WISN method obtained was 1.806 or if it was made then the needs of 2 midwives were needed. The Pauh Health Center currently has 2 midwives on duty at the MCH Poli. So, it can be concluded that the number of midwives who served at the MCH Polyclinic in Pauh Health Center is in accordance with the results of calculations using the WISN method.
