Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the effect of poverty, government spending on education and health on human development index in West Sumatera during five years period (2010-2014) in 19 districts/cities. This research used panel data, secondary data and panel data analysis. The research findings that government spending on education and poverty has significant effect on economic growth of West Sumatera, but government spending on health has not significant effect on economic growth of West Sumatera.
