Abstract

This study is explorative, the extent of seeing the existence of the elements of learning organizational in the internal environment of Higher Education Institutions of West Sumatera This study aims to describe the existence of discipline learning organization in Higher Education Institutions of West Sumatera. This research naturally is a quantitative research which describes, elaborates, and explains the phenomenon of the research variables gathered through questionnaire which given to the members of organization in HEIs of West Sumatera. Researcher choose Padang city, Bukittinggi, and Payakumbuh as the representative of West Sumatera. Research was conducted by random sampling that is to determine a random number of employees who will be the research subject. Analysis of research data to describe the conclusion of each variable using central tendency based on the average (mean) of the respondent’s answer. The findings concluded that discipline learning organization already exist in the internal environment of Higher Education Institutions of West Sumatera. The learning drivers which functioned as promoter learning organization in HEIs of West Sumatera is learning driver personal mastery.
