Abstract
This research aimed to determine the effect of awareness of taxpayers, taxation penalties, quality of public services, taxation knowledge, and taxation socialization on taxpayer compliance in paying taxes on motor vehivcles. This research was conducted in Bukittinggi SAMSAT Joint Office. The number of samples in this research were 100 respondents to the sampling method using accidental sampling method. Data collected through distributing questionnaires. Data analysis techniques used in this research is validity and reliability test, classical assumptions test, and multiple linear regression using SPSS 16.0 software. The results showed that the awareness of taxpayers, tax penalties, tax knowledge, and taxation dissemination is partially significant effect on taxpayer compliance in paying taxes on motor vehicles in Bukittinggi SAMSAT Joint Office. While the quality of public services has no significant effect on taxpayer compliance in paying taxes on motor vehicles in Bukittinggi SAMSAT Joint Office. Simultaneously awareness of taxpayers, tax penalties, quality of public services, tax knowledge, and taxation dissemination effect on taxpayer compliance in paying taxes on motor vehicles in Bukittinggi SAMSAT Joint Office.
