Tuberculosis was an infectious disease that has become a global problem in Indonesia. The cases of Tuberculosis in the world and Indonesia, including in the Dharmasraya District, were the highest in the adult group. Based on the national TB program indicators, the achievement of the TB program in the Dharmasraya District had not yet reached the target yet. This was due to the publics knowledge and awareness about tuberculosis were still low. It makes them tends to do negative attitude and behave and we need a comprehensive intervention to solved this problem. One of the interventions that can be used is the "BEBAS" intervention where the intervention has involved individuals, family and care groups. BEBAS interventions include providing education, cough ethics and exercise (breathing exercises), forming of care groups, supervision of medication by family member and spirituality. The design of this study was pre-test and post-test two group design with quasy experimental design with purposive sampling technique. The results of this study indicated the effect of BEBAS intervention in the intervention and control groups on the behaviour of TB patients in adult TB management including pre-test knowledge (p value 0,661) and post-test (p value 0,001), pre-test attitude (p value 0,008) and post-test (p value 0,001) and pre-test actions (p value 0,415) and post-test (p value 0,001). Similarly, the family behaviour of TB sufferers including pre-test knowledge (p value 0.044) and post-test (p value 0,001), pre-test attitude (p value 0.325) and post-test (p value 0,001) and pre-test actions (0.348) and post-test (p value 0,001). Likewise, the behaviour of TB care groups includes pre-test knowledge (p value 0.673) and post-test (p value 0,001), pre-test attitude (p value 0,001) and post-test (p value 0,001) and pre-test actions (p value 0.429) and post-test (p value 0,001). The results of this study showed the effect of “BEBAS” intervention on patient behavior, patient family behavior and caring group behavior towards adult TB control in Dharmasraya district. This intervention was recommended to health workers, especially those who manage the TB program and the Public Health Program in an effort to resolve the adult TB program.
