Abstract

THE DESCRIPTION OF COMPLICATIONS ATTICOANTRAL TYPE CHRONIC SUPPURATIVE OTITIS MEDIA IN DR M DJAMIL HOSPITAL PADANG YEARS 2017-2019 By Lucinda Patresia A Rumadas Abstract Atticoantral type of Chronic Suppurative Otitis Media (CSOM) becomes a major health problem in developing countries. This condition has potential to be hard becaused complications that occur. The objectives of this study was to describe atticoantral type complications CSOM at Dr. M. Djamil Hospital Padang years 2017˗2019. This study was a descriptive method by collecting secondary data taken from medical records of patients who diagnosed with atticoantral type CSOM from 2017-2019 with a total sample of 242 patients. Data is processed using a computer and was showed in table form. In this study it was found that the highest number of patients were 72 cases in the age group above 10 to 20 years (29,8%) and more experienced by men with total of 123 cases (51%). Intracranial complications were found in 5 cases (22,7%), intratemporal complications with 17 cases (77,3%) and there was none extracranial complications case. Brain abscess are the most intracranial complication found with a total of 3 cases (13,6%) above the age group of 20-30 with 2 cases and especially 4 cases in men group. The most intra temporal complications were retro auricular abscess with 12 cases (54,6%), 6 cases above the age of 10-20 years old and 13 cases in men. This study were also found that there were two death cases with intracranial complications but zero cases with intra temporal complications. Conclusion, the incidents number of atticoantral type CSOM and it’s complications is still quite high at Dr M Djamil Hospital Padang. Key words : Chronic Suppurative Otitis Media(CSOM), Atticoantral type,intracranial complication, intratemporal complication GAMBARAN KOMPLIKASI OTITIS MEDIA SUPURATIF KRONIS TIPE BAHAYA DI RSUP DR M DJAMIL PADANG TAHUN 2017-2019 Oleh Lucinda Patresia A Rumadas ABSTRAK Otitis media supuratif kronis (OMSK) tipe bahaya menjadi masalah kesehatan terutama di Negara berkembang. Kondisi ini berpotensi mejadi serius karena komplikasi yang terjadi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran komplikasi OMSK tipe bahaya pada tahun 2017-2019. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif dengan menggunakan data rekam medik pasien yang didiagnosis OMSK tipe bahaya pada tahun 2017-2019 di RSUP Dr. M. Djamil Padang dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 242 pasien. Data diolah menggunakan komputer dan ditampilkan dalam bentuk tabel. Hasil penelitian didapatkan OMSK tipe bahaya tertinggi pada kelompok umur ˃10-20 tahun sebanyak 72 kasus (29,8%) dan laki-laki sebanyak 123 kasus (51%). Komplikasi intrakranial ditemukan sebanyak 5 kasus (22,7%), komplikasi intratemporal 17 kasus (77,3%) dan tidak ditemukan komplikasi ekstrakranial. Abses otak menjadi komplikasi intrakranial terbanyak yaitu 3 kasus (13,6%), dengan kelompok umur ˃20-30 tahun sebanyak 2 kasus dan terutama pada laki-laki sebanyak 4 kasus. Komplikasi intratemporal terbanyak adalah abses retroaurikular yaitu 12 kasus (54,6%), dengan kelompok umur terbanyak adalah ˃10-20 tahun sebanyak 6 kasus, terutama pada laki-laki yaitu 13 kasus. Didapatkan 2 kasus kematian pada komplikasi intrakranial OMSK tipe bahaya yang disebabkan oleh abses otak dan meningitis. Sedangkan pada komplikasi intratemporal tidak ditemukan kasus kematian. Dapat disimpulkan angka kejadian OMSK tipe bahaya dan komplikasi yang ditimbulkan (intrakranial maupun intratemporal) di RSUP Dr. M. Djamil Padang masih cukup tinggi.
