Abstract

SEMEN PADANG ABSTRACT Digital transformation has positioned information systems as the backbone of organizational management, yet technology investment does not automatically translate into tangible value. The connecting link lies in user acceptance and satisfaction. This study analyzes the determinants of User Satisfaction and its effect on Net Benefit in the implementation of SAP ERP at PT Semen Padang, a manufacturing company characterized by highly complex business processes. The research model integrates the UTAUT3 framework—comprising Performance Expectancy, Effort Expectancy, Social Influence, and Facilitating Condition—with the Information Quality and System Quality dimensions of the DeLone & McLean IS Success Model. A quantitative approach was employed through a questionnaire survey of active SAP users across various job levels, with the data analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling based on Confirmatory Factor Analysis with AMOS. The findings reveal that User Satisfaction is primarily shaped by Performance Expectancy, Effort Expectancy, Facilitating Condition, Information Quality, and System Quality. Intriguingly, one construct long believed to play a decisive role in technology adoption proved to have no significant influence in this organizational context—a finding that challenges conventional assumptions and invites deeper interpretation of how users behave when system use is mandatory. User Satisfaction itself emerges as the bridge to organizational Net Benefit, although the strength of this relationship raises questions of its own. The structural model demonstrates good fit and stability across the evaluated indices. These findings offer practical direction for organizations to prioritize improvements in system and information quality, strengthen technical support, and enhance user capability, so that SAP ERP becomes a genuine foundation for strategic decision-making rather than a mere administrative obligation.
