Abstract

Indonesia yang dikenal sebagai negara yang bersifat multikultural, berbagai macam tradisi dan kebudayaan yang dimiliki oleh setiap daerah di Indonesia. Namun pada era modernisasi saat ini perkembangan tradisi dan kebudayaan di beberapa daerah di Indonesia bisa dikatakan sudah mulai mengalami kemunduran, bahkan beberapa tradisi dan kebudayaan sudah hampir punah. Masyarakat cenderung lebih fokus mengejar tujuan untuk mendapatkan kehidupan yang lebih baik di zaman modern seperti sekarang ini, sehingga seolah-olah adat, budaya, maupun tradisi yang seharusnya dijaga dan dipertahankan menjadi terpinggirkan. Namun tidak dengan komunitas pagurau, komunitas ini merupakan komunitas yang terdiri dari penggemar tradisi malam bagurau yang berasal dari masyarakat Minangkabau Sumatera Barat, tradisi ini berkembang di daerah Luhak Nan Tigo (Kab. Agam, Tanah Datar, Lima Puluh Kota, dan sekitarnya). Komunitas pagurau hingga saat ini masih terus eksis dan aktif dalam menghidupkan tradisi malam bagurau, salah satunya komunitas pagurau Harimau Damam. Tujuan dalam penelitian meliputi tujuan umum yaitu mendeskripsikan eksistensi komunitas pagurau Harimau Damam pada era modernisasi, dan tujuan khusus yaitu mengidentifikasi faktor internal dan eksternal yang mendukung eksistensi komunitas pagurau Harimau Damam pada era modernisasi. Dalam melihat masalah ini peneliti menggunakan teori struktural fungsional Talcott Parsons yang berkonsentrasi pada struktur masyarakat dan antar hubungan berbagai struktur tersebut yang dilihat saling mendukung menuju keseimbangan dinamis. Perhatian dipusatkan kepada bagaimana cara keteraturan dipertahankan diantara berbagai elemen masyarakat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan tipe deskripstif dengan wawancara dan observasi. Informan penelitian dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling (disengaja). Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis data Milles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat beberapa faktor yang mendukung eksistensi komunitas pagurau Harimau Damam di era modernisasi seperti faktor internal dan faktor eksternal. Selain itu pembahasan teori struktural fungsional Parsons diawali dengan empat skema penting mengenai fungsi untuk semua sistem tindakan, skema tersebut dikenal dengan sebutan AGIL. Adaptasi, pencapaian tujuan atau goal attainment, integrasi, dan latensi. Empat fungsi tersebut wajib dimiliki oleh semua sistem agar tetap bertahan (survive). Di dalam komunitas pagurau Harimau Damam ke empat fungsi ini dapat diterapkan dan berjalan dengan baik dan tercipta sebuah stabilitas sosial yaitu eksistensi komunitas itu sendiri. But in the current era of modernization, the development of tradition and culture in several regions in Indonesia can be said to have begun to decline, even some traditions and cultures are almost extinct. Society tends to focus more on pursuing the goal of getting a better life in modern times like today, so as if the customs, culture, and traditions that should be maintained and maintained are marginalized. But not with the Pagurau community, this community is a community consisting of fans of the Night Bagurau tradition from the Minangkabau people of West Sumatra, this tradition develops in the Luhak Nan Tigo area (Agam Regency, Tanah Datar, Fifty Cities, and surrounding areas). The pagurau community continues to exist and is active in reviving the nightly tradition of Bagurau, one of which is the Harimau Damam pagurau community. The objectives of the study include the general objective of describing the existence of the Damam Tiger pagurau community in the modernization era, and the specific purpose of identifying internal and external factors that support the existence of the Damam Tiger pagurau community in the modernization era. In looking at this problem the researcher uses Talcott Parsons's functional structural theory which concentrates on the structure of society and between the relationships of various structures that are seen to support each other towards dynamic equilibrium. Attention is focused on how order is maintained between various elements of society. This study uses qualitative research methods with descriptive type with interviews and observations. Research informants were selected by purposive sampling technique. Analysis of the data used is the analysis of Milles and Huberman data. The results of this study indicate that there are several factors that support the existence of the Harimau Damam pagurau community in the modernization era such as internal and external factors. In addition, the discussion of Parsons' functional structural theory begins with four important schemes regarding functions for all systems of action, the scheme is known as AGIL. Adaptation, achievement of goals or goal attainment, integration, and latency. These four functions must be possessed by all systems in order to survive. Within the Harimau Damam pagurau community, these four functions can be implemented and run well and a social stability is created, namely the existence of the community itself.
