Abstract

The Regional Secretariat of Public Relations Bukittinggi is a units that serves to build and manage relationships with local media. In fiscal year 2014, the Public Relations Department has budgeted more than 2 billion dollars for media relations activities. The budgeted amount of funds, it is not a guaranteefor the realization of a media relations that provide maximum benefit to the organization. This study aims to analyze how the Public Relations Department build and manage relationships with local media. This research is a case study using qualitative methods, describe the meaning of the reality that is happening not explain the relationship between variables. The period of this study form March 2014 until May 2014. The theory used is the Model Theory of Relationship Management and Organization-Public Relationships.
