Abstract

ABSTRAK JUMLAH EOSINOFIL PENDERITA ASCARIASIS PADA SISWA SDN 14 OLO LADANG KOTA PADANG Oleh SYAHRIA SUSANTI 1010312068 Ascariasis masih merupakan masalah kesehatan masyarakat di Indonesia terutama di daerah yang beriklim panas dan lembab. SDN 14 Olo Ladang terletak dekat dengan pantai Padang. Pantai ini mempunyai tanah yang lembab. Kondisi ini sangat mendukung berkembangnya telur cacing Ascaris lumbricoides menjadi bentuk infektif. Infeksi kecacingan menyebabkan peningkatan jumlah eosinofil di dalam sirkulasi darah. Jumlah eosinofil meningkat di bawah pengaruh sel Th2. Oleh karena itu dilakukan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui jumlah eosinofil penderita Ascariasis pada murid SDN 14 Olo Ladang Padang. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif observasional yang dilaksanakan pada bulan Februari 2015-Maret 2016. Subjek penelitian semua murid kelas I sampai kelas V SDN 14 Olo Ladang yang berjumlah 98 murid. Subjek yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi berjumlah 58 murid. Data diperoleh dari pemeriksaan feses dengan metode Kato Katz dan pemeriksaan hapusan darah tepi untuk menghitung jumlah eosinofil. Hasil penelitian pada murid SDN 14 Olo Ladang yang menunjukkan murid yang terinfeksi cacing Ascaris lumbricoides sebanyak 57%. Berdasarkan intensitas infeksi yang terbanyak yaitu infeksi sedang 58%. Jumlah eosinofil penderita Ascariasis pada murid SDN 14 Olo Ladang rata-rata 8±3%. Dari hasil penelitian ini didapatkan peningkatan jumlah eosinofil pada penderita Ascariasis. Kata kunci : Ascariasis, eosinofil, siswa SD ABSTRACT EOSINOPHIL COUNT INPATIENT WITH ASCARIASIS AT SDN 14 OLO LADANG KOTA PADANG BY SYAHRIA SUSANTI 1010312068 Ascaris lumbricoides infection remains a health problem in Indonesia, particularly in a hot and humid region. SDN 14 Olo Ladang (14 Olo Ladang National Elementary School) is located near the Padang beach. This seafront has humid soils that support the growth of Ascaris eggs to be infective. Ascariasis will increase the eosinophil count in the blood circulation. The increasing of eosinophil count is influence by Th2 cells. The aim of this study is to know the eosinophil count of Ascariasis patient at SDN 14 Olo Ladang. This study was a descriptive observational research which had held on February 2015 – Maret 2016. The subject were 98 students from grade 1 to grade 5 SDN 14 Olo Ladang with total of 98 students. Out of all students, 58 students meet the inclusion criteria. This data was obtained through a stool analysis with Kato Katz method and peripheral blood smear to count the eosinophil. The results of this study, there were 57% of SDN 14 Olo Ladang students was infected by Ascaris lumbricoides. Based of the intensity, the most infection found is moderate infections 58%. The eosinophil count of Ascariasis patient of SDN 14 Olo Ladang students average of 8±3%. This study shows an increased of eosinophil count in Ascariasis patients.
