Abstract

Meloidogyne spp. is a nematode that causes root-knot disease in tomato plants which can be detrimental in terms of quality and quantity, which can attack the roots of tomato plants which can cause up to 70% damage if not controlled. Alternative controls that can be used to control Meloidogyne spp. namely by using ecoenzymes. The aim of this research is to obtain the best concentration of ecoenzymes from orange peel to suppress the development of root-knot disease (Meloidogyne spp.) and increase the growth and production of tomato plants (Lycopersicum esculentum Mill.). The research was carried out experimentally using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 treatments, 3 replications and 3 destructive samples. The treatment consisted of 5% ecoenzyme, 10% ecoenzyme, 15% ecoenzyme, 20% ecoenzyme, positive control and negative control. The parameters observed in this study were the number of root-knot, the number of egg clusters, the number of eggs in the egg clusters, the number of nematodes in the soil, plant height, number of plant leaves, first flower appearance, and fruit weight. The results showed that the best ecoenzyme for controlling the nematode Meloidogyne spp. and increase the growth and production of tomato plants, namely a concentration of 15%.
