Abstract

Transformers are one of the crucial pieces of equipment in electrical transmission and distribution systems. Testing of backup transformers that have not been used for a long time is essential before they are re-employed to ensure their condition is fit for use, thus preventing disturbances or damage that can disrupt the supply of electrical power. This research aims to analyze the test results of backup transformers at PT. Pertamina Hulu Rokan and assess the condition of the transformers based on the testing results and systematic analysis. The testing methods used include physical inspection, winding ratio testing, polarization index testing, and winding resistance testing. The test data is then analyzed using systematic calculations adjusted to established standards. The results of this research can be used as a reference for further transformer testing stages
