Abstract
ABSTRACT BACTERIAL PATTERN AND SENSITIVITY TEST ON CHRONIC RHINOSINUSITIS WITH NASAL POLYP AND NON POLYP IN OTOLARINGOLOGYDEPARTMENT OF RSUP DR. M. DJAMIL PADANG 2016-2017 By Della Reyhani Putri Chronic rinosinusitis (CRS) is a chronic inflammation of the nose and paranasal sinuses mucosa with duration more than 12 weeks. CRS is one of the health problems that we often find in people's lives and can reduce the quality of life. The role of antibiotics is important for CRS treatment. Bacterial patterns and their sensitivity to antibiotic therapy may change because of the large number of bacteria that resistant to certain antibiotics. The purpose of this study was administered to determine bacterial pattern and sensitivity test on chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyp and non polyp. This study is a retrospective descriptive study using sample of 100 patients CRS at RSUP Dr. M. Djamil Padang. This study was conducted from November-Desember 2018. The sampling technique used is total sampling during the years 2016-2017. The prevalence of chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps is higher than chronic rhinosinusitis non polyps. The most common types of bacteria found CRS with Nasal Polyp anda without Nasal Polyp were Staphylococcus aureus. CSR most occured in the age group 41-50 years (31 patients). These bacteria were found to have high resistance to Ampicillin and high sensitivity to Meropenem, Gentamisin, and Cefoperazone. The effort for promoting and preventing some risk factors such as smoking, pollution, and others need to be anticipated because the high prevalence of RSK in certain age. Keywords: chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyposis and non polyposis, bacterial pattern, antibiotic sensitivity.
