Abstract

ABSTRACT Purpose of this research is to find out the impact between supervisory board and company performance. This research uses secondary data collected from Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX), with companies in financial service sector industry as its samples during period 2012 to 2016 by using purposive sampling method. To test the hypotheses, this research used linear regression analysis. Findings on the analysis found that supervisory board size has positive and significant impact towards company performance, hence the more member in the board resulting increases its company performance with return on assets (ROA) as its indicators. While independent supervisory board proportion has negative and significant impact toward company performance, thus when the company has large proportion of independent supervisory board in the company, it will decrease the company performance with return on assets (ROA) as its indicators. And no significant impact supervisory board meeting towards company performance. Keywords: Supervisory Board, Supervisory Board Size, Independent Supervisory Board Proportion, Supervisory Board Meeting, Company Performance, Return on Assets
