Abstract
ABSTRAK Pengumpulan debu dalam pekerjaan industri merupakan hal yang sangat penting untuk menjamin kualitas udara didalam maupun di luar ruang produksi. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, banyak perusahaan yang mengaplikasikan sistem dust collector ke dalam sistem produksi mereka. Namun, sejumlah sistem dust collector pada Indarung IV PT. Semen Padang yang ada tidak memiliki kerja yang baik salah satunya ditunjukan dengan nilai debit yang rendah dan rugi tekanan yang sangat tinggi. Penelitian ini dibuat untuk membandingan kinerja sistem dust collector sebelum dan sesudah rekondisi berdasarkan sejumlah parameter seperti debit udara hisab, rugi tekanan, daya motor dan blower serta efisiensi pengumpulan debu. Data yang diambil adalah berupa kecepatan udara saluran, diameter saluran udara dan panjang saluran udara.. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukan bahwa kinerja dust collector setelah rekondisi lebih baik dibandingkan sebelum rekondisi ditunjukan dengan meningkatnya debit pada saluran udara sebesar 21.6 %, meningkatnya rugi tekanan sebesar 64.18 % dikarenakan penambahan titik hisap sebanyak 6 buah titik hisab, udara yang disaring atau rasio A/C meningkat sebesar 228 % dan efisiensi motor meningkat sebesar 416 %. Kata kunci : dust collector, fabric filter, debu, jet pulse, rekondisi. ABSTRACT The collection of dust in industrial work is essential to ensure air quality inside and outside the production room. Based on this, many companies are applying dust collector systems into their production systems. However, a number of dust collector systems in Indarung IV PT. The existing Semen Padang does not have good work, one of them is shown with low discharge and high pressure loss. This study was designed to compare the performance of the dust collector system before and after reconditioning based on a number of parameters such as air reckoning, pressure loss, motor power and blower and dust collection efficiency. The data taken is in the form of channel air velocity, air channel diameter and airway length. The result of the research shows that the dust collector performance after recondition is better than before the recondition is shown by the increase of air flow discharge equal to 21.6%, the increase of the pressure loss is 64.18% due to the addition of the suction point as much as 6 pieces of reckoning point, filtered air or A / C ratio increased by 228% and motor efficiency increased by 416%.
