Abstract
Research to isolate the anti-MRSA compound from Aspergillus versicolor (WR5) symbiotic marine sponge Haliclona fascigera was conducted. Aspergillus versicolor were cultivated with rice media for 60 days. Results of the cultivation extracted with ethyl acetate using by macerasion method. Secondary metabolites in the ethyl acetate extract were separated using by chromatography column method with mobile phase of n-hexane, ethyl acetate and methanol in Step Gradient Polarity (SGP), and obtained two pure compounds were named Ac.1 (77.5 mg) and Ac.2 (59.4 mg). Compound Ac.1 is yellow crystalline needle, dissolved in methanol, with melting distance 123-1250C, Ac.2 is white crystalline, dissolves in methanol, with melting distance 49-510C, Based on the result of chemical test, it is assumed that both compounds are classified as triterpenoid. Both of these isolate compounds showed a Minimum Inhibition Concentration (MIC) of 12.5 μg / μl.
