Abstract

Afrika Selatan merupakan salah satu negara dengan kasus kekerasan seksual terhadap anak tertinggi di dunia. United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) sebagai sebuah lembaga internasional yang menangani masalah anak – anak di dunia memiliki beberapa fungsi dalam menjalankan tugasnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis fungsi UNICEF dalam mananggulangi kekerasan seksual terhadap anak di Afrika Selatan. Peneliti menggunakan konsep fungsi organisasi internasional oleh Clive Archer dalam menganalisis isu ini. Metodologi penelitian yang peneliti gunakan adalah metode kualitatif dan data sekunder. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa UNICEF menjalankan fungsi artikulasi dan agregasi, norma, rekrutmen, sosialisasi, informasi, dan operasi terkait isu ini di Afrika Selatan. Kata Kunci: kekerasan seksual, anak, Afrika Selatan, UNICEF, fungsi organisasi internasional South Africa is one with the highest number of sexual violence against children cases in the world. United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), as one of international institutions in child’s field, has some functions in doing its duty. This research aims to analyze the functions of UNICEF in overcoming sexual violence against children in South Africa. Conceptual framework used in this research is the functions of international organization by Clive Archer. Methodology used in this research is qualitative research method with secondary data. This research found that UNICEF perform the functions of Articulation and aggregation, norms creation, recruitment, socialization, information, and operation related to this issue in South Africa.
