Abstract

Proses degeneratif tubuh yang terjadi seiring dengan pertambahan usia akan meningkatkan resiko terjadinya nyeri sendi akibat rematik, terutama pada lansia. Hal ini menyebabkan gangguan pada lansia dalam melakukan aktivitas sehari-hari dan mengurangi produktivitas serta kualitas hidup. Salah satu tindakan non farmakologi yang dapat digunakan untuk mengurangi skala nyeri sendi adalah stimulasi kutaneus: slow-stroke back massage. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh stimulasi kutaneus: slow-stroke back massage (SSBM) terhadap skala nyeri rematik pada lansia. Desain penelitian menggunakan quasi eksperimental dengan pendekatan satu kelompok pretest-posttest. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 10 orang lansia yang memiliki intensitas nyeri sedang atau skala nyeri 4-6. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Alat ukur skala nyeri menggunakan numeric rating scale. Uji hipotesis menggunakan non parametrik yaitu Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test dengan p <0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh antara SSBM terhadap penurunan skala nyeri rematik pada lansia wanita di Panti Sosial Tresna Werdha Kasih Sayang Ibu Batusangkar. Diharapkan kepada pemberi layanan kesehatan terutama perawat untuk dapat mempertimbangkan terapi stimulasi kutaneus: SSBM sebagai salah satu intervensi non farmakologi untuk mengatasi nyeri pada lansia. Kata Kunci : lansia, skala nyeri, rematik, slow-stroke back massage ABSTRACT THE EFFECT OF CUTANEOUS STIMULATION: SLOW-STROKE BACK MASSAGE ON SCALE OF RHEUMATIC’S PAIN OF THE WOMAN ELDERLY IN SOCIAL HOUSE TRESNA WERDHA KASIH SAYANG IBU BATUSANGKAR IN 2017 The degenerative process of the body that occurs along with the increase in age will increase the risk of joint pain due to rheumatism, especially in elderly. This case lead to disruption for the elderly in performing daily activities and reducing productivity and quality of life. One of the non pharmacological interventions to reduce rheumatic pain is cutaneous stimulation: slow-stroke back massage. This research aims to determine the effect of cutaneous stimulation: slow-stroke back massage (SSBM) on pain scale of rheumatic’s pain of the elderly. Research design was quasi experimental using one group pretest-posttest design. The samples of this research are 10 elderly who have medium pain intensity or the pain scale is 4-6 point. Technique of taking sample is using purposive sampling. Scale of degree pain tool uses numeric rating scale. Hypothesis research test uses non parametric Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test with (p<0,05). The result showed that there is influence between SSBM regarding decrease of rheumatic pain scale at woman elderly at Social House Tresna Werdha Kasih Sayang Ibu Batusangkar. Hoped to the health care provider especially nurse to be able to consider cutaneous stimulation therapy: SSBM as one of the non-pharmacological interventions to overcome the pain in the elderly.
