Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze demographic factors such as education, marital status, income, household member, sector that affecting elderly women participation in economic activity. This research using primary data with 400 random elderly women samples (≥ 60 years old) in Padang. By using logistic regression estimation method education and income has a significant and negative relation, but sector has a significant and positive relation. Marital status and household member has a not significant. Generally, low education level of elderly women the probability elderly women to participate higher, and also elderly women with income under minimum average wage, and most of them work in informal sector.
