Abstract
Universitas Andalas is one of the public university in Indonesia. The university have already utilize information systems as a ways to improve their capability in supporting the operation in the university. But, the systems haven’t been integrated and so far there haven’t been any systems created to support the decision maker for activity related to financial aspects especially for tuition fee and standard education cost. The unintegrated and the lack of systems to support the decision related to tuition fee and standard education cost mean the university needs to migrate the data from a particular database to retrieve the information within. This type of activity is prone to error and take a long time to retrieve. A data warehouse to support decision making process related to financial aspect of tuition fee in Universitas Andalas is developed to help solve the issue. The data warehouse is designed by using Kimball 9 Steps Methodology. Then, the Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) process will be perform. The dashboard then created from the functionality of online analytical processing (OLAP). The result for this study is a data warehouse and the reporting dashboard to support the decision making process related to financial aspect of tuition fee and standard education cost in Universitas Andalas. The data warehouse is created by using star schema with one fact table and seven dimensions from SI UKT, SIREG, and 17 SIA databases to fulfill the requirements for the data warehouse. The resulting data warehouse then used as a source of data for four dashboard pages. The user that access the dashboard will be shown the information related to tuition fee and standard education cost that would help improve the decision making capability for Universitas Andalas.
