Abstract
Indonesia has been dealing with COVID-19 including Jambi Province. To handle the COVID-19 pandemic, Indonesian government formed Gugus Tugas Percepatan Penanganan COVID-19, which includes Community Health Center (Puskesmas). A pharmacist is a part of health care workers in a community health center and is required to have a good knowledge, attitude and practice regarding COVID-19. This study aims to assess the knowledge, attitude, and practice of community health center pharmacists in Jambi province regarding COVID-19. This study was observational with a cross-sectional study design. The research instrument was a validated questionnaire and distributed via WhatsApp group of Branch Committee of The Indonesian Pharmacists Association Jambi Province. All statistical analyses were analyzed using SPSS, version 20. Fifty-seven respondents participated in this study. The results showed that 40,4% of pharmacists had a high level of knowledge, 63,2% had positive attitude, and 54,4% had good practice regarding COVID-19. Statistical analysis showed a significant correlation between attitude and practice (p-value 0,002) and no correlation between knowledge and attitude and knowledge and practice. In short, the majority of pharmacists had poor knowledge but had a positive attitude and good practice regarding COVID-19. The practice of pharmacists regarding COVID-19 was influenced by attitude.
