Abstract

ALLERGENS IN PATIENTS WITH ALLERGIC RHINITIS BASED ON SKIN PRICK TEST AT RSUP DR.M.DJAMIL IN 2010-2014 By Tuti Alawiyah ABSTRACT Allergic rhinitis is not a deadly disease, but often recur thereby disrupting concentration and decreased productivity. Allergic rhinitis is generally treated with allergen avoidance. Therefore it is necessary for screening of these allergens. The purpose of this research is to describe the types of allergens in allergic rhinitis based on skin prick test at Department of THT-KL RSUP Dr. M. Djamil Padang. This research was conducted descriptively at medical record center of RSUP Dr. M. Djamil Padang in August 2015 - April 2016 using cross sectional study design. Subject populations were patient medical records which had been diagnosed with allergic rhinitis on January 1, 2010 - December 31, 2014 at RSUP Dr.M.Djamil Padang. Study sample were all populations who meet the inclusion and exclusion criteria, total sample are 379. In this study, most types of rhinitis is moderate-severe persistent allergic rhinitis (66,8%). Patients who suffer from allergic rhinitis are mostly women (62%) with the most common allergens D.pteronysinus (91,3%) and the least is tuna (27,7%). Most cases of allergic rhinitis was found in the age group 15-<25 years (44,9%) with the most common allergens are D.farinae (92.9%). The most type of allergens in all patients with allergic rhinitis is inhalant allergens (98,9%). Keywords: Allergic rhinitis, allergens, Skin Prick Test
