Abstract

Victims of bullying are someone who feels powerless to prevent bullying behavior. One of the impacts that will be received by victims of bullying is a decrease in academic achievement. This study aims to determine the relationship between victims of bullying and learning achievement in adolescents at SMP Negeri 7 Bukittinggi. This type of research is descriptive correlation with cross sectional approach. The study was conducted in June 2021, the samples in this study were students of class VII and VIII with a total sample of 120 people and were taken using quota sampling technique. The data was taken using a online questionnaire via google form and an observation sheet in the form of report cards. Data analysis used Spearman Rank correlation test. The results showed that there was no relationship between bullying victims and adolescent learning achievement at SMP Negeri 7 Bukittinggi, with a significance value (p-value) of 0.672 and a correlation value (r) of -0.039. The conclusion of this study is that there is no relationship between victims of bullying and learning achievement in adolescents at SMP Negeri 7 Bukittinggi.
