Abstract

n West Sumatra, the number of maternal deaths in 2019 increased, compared to in 2017 the number of maternal deaths was 113 people and in 2018 decreased slightly, namely 111 people, but in 2019 it increased again to 116 people.5In 2019, there were as many cases of maternal deaths as 19 cases in the city of Padang, this number has continued to increase from the last two years. In 2018, 17 cases of maternal death were found and in 2017 there were 16 cases. From the data from the Padang City Health Profile in 2019, out of 19 maternal deaths, 7 cases of maternal deaths occurred in the PONED puskesmas area.1Several government-related programs in support of efforts to improvematernal and child health, namely DTPS-KIBBLA (District Team Problem Solving for Maternal, Newborn and Toddler Health), there are six approaches, namely kangaroo treatment (PMK), SIAGA village (Siap Antar Jaga), SBMR (Standard Based Management Recognition), Maternal Class and AMP (Maternal Perinatal Care). The Maternity Planning and Complication Prevention Program (P4K), the Mother-Friendly Movement (GSI), birth insurance and Health Operational Assistance (BOK) have also not been able to reduce MMR in Indonesia.2We conducted this research, including in this type of research, including 110 respondents of pregnant women in eight PONED Puskesmas in Padang City, namely Padang Pasir Puskesmas, Seberang Padang Puskesmas, Pauh Puskesmas, Nanggalo Puskesmas, LubukBuaya Puskesmas, Air Cold Puskesmas, Bungus Puskesmas, and Air Anak Puskesmas . This research was conducted to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women on the Ante Natal Care (ANC) visit at the Puskesmas Kota Padang.There is a relationship between the level of knowledge of pregnant women and the behavior of the Ante Natal Care (ANC) visit in the city of Padang The relationship between these two variables and Ante Natal Care (ANC) behavior is not significant
