Abstract

This research is motivated by the application of the full day school learning system implemented at SMPN 32 Padang. full day school which is implemented at SMPN 32 Padang is a school that applies a different system from other schools. Students who study at this school certainly have more activity than other schools. Therefore, the research problem is formulated about the activity pattern of implementing the full day learning system and seeing how the obstacles in the application of full day school. This research was conducted using qualitative research methods that use case study data collection techniques, observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The technique of selecting informants was carried out by purposive sampling method, namely by using the application of certain criteria. With the method of selecting relevant informants. Before conducting the research, the researcher used specific criteria to find informants. The results of this study explain, there is a change in the pattern of implementation activities during the full day school learning system of SMPN 32 Padang. The purpose of implementing a full day school learning system is to see the obstacles encountered during the implementation of full day school. The constraints in question are, student delinquency during learning, the impact of student achievement levels during the change in the learning system to full day school. Then the learning outcomes can be explained by looking at the results found during the implementation of full day school learning. The success of the full day school learning system is expected to be able to change the education system for the better. Many of the implementation activities carried out are still not in accordance with the intended full day school pattern. So that formulating learning activities is still a challenge for educators in making changes to patterns of learning activities.
