Abstract
Nurse satisfaction as users of the EMR system is related to the success of its implementation, where perception is one of the factors that influence satisfaction. The purpose of this study was to identify the correlation between nurses' perceptions and satisfaction using EMR at Prof. HB. Saanin Padang Mental Hospital. This type of research is descriptive correlation with a cross-sectional design. The sample involved in this study was 131 nurses with the sampling technique used was convenience sampling. The research instruments were the Perception of Nurses Toward the EMR System questionnaire and the Electronic Medical Record User Satisfaction questionnaire. Univariate test using mean and bivariate test using Rank Spearman. The results of this study obtained the average value of nurses' perception score is 100.61 which means positive and the average value of nurses' satisfaction score is 110.28 which means that nurses are satisfied with the use of EMR. There is a significant correlation between perception and satisfaction (p <0.001), strongly correlated and positive direction (r = 0.699), it means the more positive the nurse's perception of the use of EMR, the higher the nurse's satisfaction in using EMR at Prof. HB Saanin Mental Hospital Padang. It is hoped that there will be efforts to improve nurse satisfaction by fulfilling needs such as developing a better EMR system and providing training so that the nursing documentation and service process can be carried out optimally.
