Abstract
PENGARUH ORIENTASI PASAR, ORIENTASI kEWIRAUSAHAAN TERHADAP KINERJA USAHA JASA PESTA DI SUMATERA BARAT MELALUI INOVASI SEBAGAI VARIABEL MEDIASI Tesis oleh Yuliyana (2220522019) Dibimbing oleh Dr. Yulia Hendri Yeni, SE, MT, Ak dan Dr. Vera Pujani, SE, MM.Tech ABSTRAK Orientasi pasar yang mencakup pemahaman mendalam terhadap kebutuhan konsumen dan orientasi kewirausahaan yang melibatkan keberanian mengambil risiko, inovasi, serta proaktivitas, diyakini memiliki peran penting dalam meningkatkan daya saing dan kinerja usaha. Namun, kinerja usaha tidak hanya dipengaruhi secara langsung oleh kedua orientasi ini, melainkan juga dimediasi oleh inovasi, yang berperan sebagai katalisator dalam menciptakan produk dan layanan yang lebih relevan dan kompetitif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh orientasi pasar dan orientasi kewirausahaan terhadap kinerja usaha jasa pesta di Sumatera Barat, dengan inovasi sebagai variabel mediasi.Penelitian ini menggunakan data primer yang didapat dari jawaban responden berupa pengisian kuesioner. Teknik analisis data dengan menggunakan metode SEM-PLS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa orientasi pasar berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja usaha, inovasi dapat menjadi variabel mediasi dalam hubungan orientasi pasar dan kinerja usaha, sedangkan orientasi kewirausahan tidak berpengaruh terhadap kinerja usaha dan inovasi dapat memediasi hubungan antara orientasi kewirausahaan terhadap kinerja usaha. Kata kunci: Orientasi Pasar, Orientasi Kewirausahaan, Inovasi, Kinerja Usaha. iii THE INFLUENCE OF MARKET ORIENTATION AND ENTREPRENEURIAL ORIENTATION ON BUSINESS PERFORMANCE OF CATERING SERVICES IN WEST SUMATRA THROUGH INNOVATION AS A MEDIATING VARIABLE Tesis by Yuliyana (2220522019) Supervised by Dr. Yulia Hendri Yeni, SE, MT, Ak and Dr. Vera Pujani, SE, MM.Tech ABSTRACT Market orientation, which includes a deep understanding of consumer needs, and entrepreneurial orientation, which involves the courage to take risks, innovation, and proactivity, are believed to play an important role in improving business competitiveness and performance. However, business performance is not only directly influenced by these two orientations but is also mediated by innovation, which acts as a catalyst in creating more relevant and competitive products and services. This study aims to analyze the effect of market orientation and entrepreneurial orientation on the performance of event planning businesses in West Sumatra, with innovation as a mediating variable. This research uses primary data obtained from respondents' answers in the form of questionnaires. Data analysis techniques use the SEM-PLS method. The results show that market orientation has a positive and significant effect on business performance, innovation can mediate the relationship between market orientation and business performance, while entrepreneurial orientation does not have an effect on business performance, and innovation can mediate the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and business performance.
