Abstract

This research aims to determine and to influence investor’s understanding about investment theory, sharia investment socialization, social media, and general knowledge to the interest in sharia stock investing both partially and simultaneously. The design of this research is quantitative using descriptive approach. The sample was taken from member of GIBEI, GISBEI in Padang and Komunitas Investor Saham Pemula in Indonesia using quota variabel sampling technique. The data were analyzed using SPSS 16 for windows and derived from 60 questionaires with 60 questions to the respondents. The findings have shown that general knowledge partially influence to the interest in sharia stock investing while investment theory, sharia investment socialization and social media have not influence.
