Abstract

PT Semen Padang is a cement manufacturing company and is the oldest cement company in Indonesia which was established on March 18, 1910. PT Semen Padang has inventory units, both raw material inventory and spare parts inventory which play an important role in the continuity of business processes. PT Semen Padang. The inventory unit of PT Semen Padang is responsible for the availability, receipt, storage and maintenance of all goods. Currently the inventory unit of PT Semen Padang has a total workforce of 67 people. Labor is the most important factor in ensuring the smooth production process in manufacturing companies. Planning and managing human resources can be done through workload analysis. Observations and interviews showed that the workload given to the inventory unit of PT Semen Padang was still not optimal and there was still an imbalance in the workload of employees. Based on these problems, research was carried out which aimed to find out how the workload of employees was and to find out the optimal number of workforce requirements. This study uses the Full Time Equivalent (FTE) method, which is a workload analysis method that measures the length of time it takes to complete work.
