Abstract

Badminton court rental business in the city of Padang is currently growing and has quality standards, so there are also more and more enthusiasts of badminton, but the process of renting and recording data for badminton court rentals in the city of Padang is currently still done manually by telephone, via whatsapp Messenger application or you can come directly to the badminton court you want to rent to find out which courts are available and also to make payments. Such a method is certainly not effective and efficient, besides spending time it also requires costs to come directly to the field, when the prospective Customer does not know about the available field schedule, if the rental schedule is full, the Customer must look for another place by visiting the desired location. One way that is thought to be done to overcome the above problems is to build a badminton court rental information sistem by utilizing the marketplace business model. Using the marketplace concept, badminton court managers can meet potential Customers in an intermediary medium to conduct badminton court rental transactions. The research method used is data collection in the form of observation, interviews, and document collection, as well as using the rapid application development sistem development method. The stages of the rapid application development method include requirements planning, user design, construction, and cutover. The results to be achieved in this study are a web-based badminton court rental marketplace information sistem that can simplify the process of renting and managing badminton courts.
