Abstract
ABSTRACT Hormonal adjuvant therapy is an effective therapeutic option for early-stage breast cancer (EBC) patients with responsive hormonal. The clinical outcomes of breast cancer therapy are Disease Free Survival (DFS) and Overall Survival (OS). This study aims to obtain an overview of the characteristics of EBC patients, hormonal adjuvant therapy used and its effect on clinical outcomes. This study was a descriptive of cross-sectional design that retrospective collecting the data from breast cancer registration of Indonesian Society of Surgical Oncology (ISSO) Padang. Inclusion was EBC patients in Padang during 2008-2017 with responsive hormonal status, negative Her-2 and hormonal adjuvant therapy. There were 58 patients who fulfilled the inclusion criteria. Data analysis using ANOVA test and Independent sample T-test. Statistical analysis showed no significant correlation between clinical characteristics and clinical outcomes (p>0.05). Different hormonal adjuvant therapy in premenopausal patients showed no significant effect on DFS (p > 0.05) and it was significant for OS (p <0.05). In postmenopausal, different therapies showed no significant effect on DFS and OS (p>0.05). It was concluded that different therapies in postmenopausal patients did not have a different effect on clinical outcomes. Keywords: Disease Free Survival (DFS); Early Breast Cancer (EBC); hormonal adjuvant therapy; clinical outcome ; Overall Survival (OS), premenopausal; postmenopausal.
