Abstract

Pelaksanaan program kelas ibu hamil di puskesmas sudah berlangsung sejak lama namun masih rendahnya partisipasi ibu dalamm engikuti program ini. Hal ini berdampak pada masih tingginya Angka Kematian Ibu (AKI) di wilayah Kota Bukittinggi. Sehingga perlu dilihat faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi partisipasi ibu untuk mengikuti kelas ibu hamil diantaranya karakteristik ibu, dukungan social suami dan peran bidan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada 74 ibu hamil di salah satu Puskesmas Kota Bukittinggi. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah teknik purposive sampling. Data didapatkan dengan menggunakan tiga instrument diantaranya kuesioner karakteristik ibu, Norbeck social Support Questionnaire (NSSQ), dan kuesioner peran bidan. Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa tidak ada hubungan yang bermakna antara karakteristik ibu dengan partisipasi ibu mengikuti kelas ibu hamil, namun untuk dukungan social terutama dukungan suami memilik ihubungan yang bermakna dengan partisipasi ibu mengikuti kelas ibu hamil. Selanjutnya, penelitian ini juga menemukan hubungan peran bidan internal (p value 0,01) lebih kuat dengan partisipasi ibu mengikuti kelas ibu hamil dibandingkan peran bidan eksternal (p value 0,02). Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah peran bidan dan dukungan suami memiliki pengaruh yang kuat dengan partisipasi ibu untuk ikut kelas ibu hamil. Oleh karena itu, kedua faktor ini perlu dipertahankan guna meningkatkan partisipasi ibu dalam mengikuti kelas ibu hamil. The implementation of the pregnant mother class program has been going on for a long time but the results of preliminary studies conducted at the Guguak Puskesmas Panjang are only a few who attend classes for pregnant women. This study aims to determine whether there was a relationship between maternal characteristics, husband support and the role of midwives with the participation of mothers following the class of pregnant women. The location of the research was conducted at Puskesmas Guguak Panjang with 74 samples. Data analysis included univariate, bivariate and multivariate analysis. The results of the bivariate analysis showed that there was no correlation between maternal characteristics with maternal participation in maternal class while emotional support, instrumental support, information support and assessment support (p = 0.0001) had a relationship with maternal participation in the class of pregnant women. The role of external midwives (p = 0.002), the role of internal midwives (p = 0.001) related to maternal participation in the mother's class. Multivariate results show the role of internal midwives that greatly influences the participation of mothers who attend classes for pregnant women (p = 0.001). The role of midwifes and husband support greatly affects the participation of mothers following the class of pregnant women.
