Abstract

This Research focuses on Indonesian coffee exports - EU in accordance with the fairtrade system. Fairtrade is a system that aims to improve the living conditions of producers in developing countries. The condition of Indonesian coffee exports to the EU is subject to some regulatory barriers imposed by the European Union. The strategy for adaptation to the fairtrade system is needed by Indonesia in order to facilitate the export path in the EU coffee market. This research uses the concept in accordance with the system by fairtrade that is fairtrade theory of change. This research uses descriptive method through literature study. The results of this study indicate that Indonesia has implemented several policies and also programs in accordance with the fair market system that is sustainable or sustainable program. However, Indonesia has not maximized the implementation of the program and is still an obstacle in exporting coffee on fairtrade coffee European Union.
