Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of voluntary disclosure, information asymmetry, and book to market ratio both partially and partially through stock returns to the cost of equity in the financial industry. The variables used in this study are voluntary disclosure, information asymmetry, and book to market ratio with variable intervening return of stock. The population in this study are all financial sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) in the period 2011-2016. The method used in determining the research sample is purposive sampling method. While the method used in data analysis using multiple linear regression method. The results of this study indicate that voluntary disclosure and book to market ratio affect the cost of equity. However, information asymmetry does not affect cost of equity.
