Abstract

The Influence of Social Support Towards School Family Conflict On Graduate Student (S2) Of Andalas University Tatiana Belinda Putri, Dwi Puspasari, Nelia Afriyeni Psychology’s Student, Medical Faculty, Andalas University Email: tatianabelindap@gmail.com ABSTRACT Graduate student (S2) who have been married have multiple roles that can have a great chance of experiencing conflict. Social support is expected to be one of the factors that can reduce or even overcome role conflict (School Family Conflict). The aim of this research is to see the influence of social support towards school family conflict on student of postgraduate program (S2) Andalas University. The method that has been used in this research is quantitative method. The sample of this research are 121 students of graduate program (S2) Andalas University. Technique of sampling that used in this research is proportionate stratified random sampling. The data has been collected by using modification scale of House (1985) and Ganster (1986) for social support, then using adaptation scale of school family conflict by Vhan Rhijn (2009). Hypothesis has been tested with simple linear regression test. The result of analysis showed that there is a influence of social support towards school family conflict on graduate student (S2) of Andalas University, when social support is increase so school family conflict is decrease conversely. It has been proved by the coefficient of regression -0.527 coefficient of determination, R square is 0.184. It means that school family conflict is 18.4% affected by social support and the rest of the 81.6% is determined by other variables were not checked thoroughly this research. Pengaruh Dukungan Sosial terhadap School Family Conflict pada Mahasiswi Program Pascasarjana (S2) Universitas Andalas Tatiana Belinda Putri, Dwi Puspasari, Nelia Afriyeni Program Studi Psikologi, Fakultas Kedokteran, Universitas Andalas Email: tatianabelindap@gmail.com ABSTRAK Mahasiswi program pascasarjana (S2) yang telah menikah memiliki peran ganda yang dapat berpeluang besar mengalami konflik. Dukungan sosial diharapkan menjadi salah satu faktor yang dapat mengurangi atau bahkan mengatasi konflik peran (School Family Conflict). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat apakah ada pengaruh dukungan sosial terhadap school family conflict pada mahasiswi program pascasarjana (S2) Universitas Andalas. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswi program pascasarjana (S2) Universitas Andalas sebanyak 121 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan proportionate stratified random sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuisioner penelitian yakni skala modifikasi dari House (1985) dan Ganster (1986) untuk mengukur dukungan sosial, dan skala adaptasi dari Vhan Rhijn (2009) untuk mengukur school family conflict. Uji hipotesis dilakukan dengan uji regresi linier sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh dukungan sosial terhadap school family conflict pada mahasiswi program pascasarjana (S2) Universitas Andalas, dimana semakin tinggi dukungan sosial maka semakin rendah school family conflict dan sebaliknya. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan koefisien regresi sebesar -0,527 sedangkan untuk koefisien determinasi yang ditunjukkan oleh R square yaitu 0,184. Ini artinya sumbangan besarnya pengaruh dukungan sosial terhadap school family conflict adalah sebesar 18,4% dan sisanya 81,6% ditentukan oleh variabel lain yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini.
