Abstract

Objective This study aim to determine whether there is a relationship between leadership style and employee performance, a relationship motivation and employee performance, and the relationship between leadership style and motivation on employee performance. Method This type of quantitative research with cross sectional design. The research was conducted at the Lubuk Buaya Community Health Center, Padang City with a population ot 82 ASN and Non ASN people, using the simple random sampling technique, 45 people were selected as samples. Data were analyzed using univariate analysis and bivariate analysis using the chi square test. Result The result of the univariate analysis showed that the performance of Lubuk Buaya Health Center employees was good at 57,8% with for situasional leadership style that were not good at 53,3% an motivational that was not good at 51,1%. The result of bivariate analysis show that the leadership style has a significant relationship with employee performance with p value 0.001 and the work motivation has significant relationship with employee performance with p. value 0.002, and the leadership style and work motivation have a relationship significant with performance with p. value 0.000.
